For the last few weeks I have been featuring projects that were submitted to us to be honored as Featured Project of the Year at the upcoming International Roofing Expo in New Orleans. We chose 4 projects that we will feature on banners in our booth next week. In case you missed the other three, you can click here to read week 1, here to read week 2, and here to read about last week's project.
In 2013 Omaha had a hail storm. A big one. Since then, shipments of our Class 4 Impact Rated, imitation slate and shake roofing material has exploded and John Higgins Weatherguard, Inc has been installing product all over town. A Class 4 Impact Rating means that in a test at UL, our tiles can withstand a 2" steel ball being dropped from 20 feet without cracking or breaking the tile. This is good news for those of us who live in an area prone to hail, as homeowners can often receive discounts on their homeowners insurance for going with a Class 4 roof.
Weatherguard, being as familiar with the DaVinci products as they are, even take some creative liberties with their customers by way of creating their own custom blends. The project featured here is a mix of 3 standard blends, Autumn, Tahoe and Mountain, done in Bellaforté Shake.

Come and see us, and all four projects featured, next week at the International Roofing Expo which runs February 24-26 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
